Hyack's competitive swimmers participated in their annual "Year End Time Trial" this past Wednesday evening at Canada Games Pool in New Westminster. The timing and format of the event was to provide the Senior swimmers a chance to stay sharp and swim fast in a Short Course pool during their Championship meet season. For the younger swimmers, it provided motivation to train hard through July to have another competitive opportunity alongside their role models in the Senior groups.

Some fast swimming was certainly achieved with 6 new Short Course (25m) Team Records:

Andre Kudaba - Senior Men 50m Back, 100m Back
Michael Cai - Senior Men 100 IM
Vanessa Hanbury - Senior Women 100 IM
Kathy Qu - 17&u Girls 100 IM
Hadyn Pack - 10&u Boys 100 IM
